Ingredients

  • 2 banana(s) ripe, mashed
  • 1 avocado ripe, mashed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or sugar-free chocolate chips, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas and avocado.

  • Add the eggs, honey or maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  • Fold in the chopped walnuts or chocolate chips, if using.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
