Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream together the butter, sour cream, vanilla, and sugar with a spoon.

Using a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop, or a spoon, roll the dough into balls and place 6 balls of dough on your baking sheet at least 3 inches apart, they will spread.
Bake for 13-15 minutes, keep the rest of the dough in the fridge while you wait to scoop and bake the next batch.
Make the frosting by beating together the butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until peaks form, about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.

Allow the cookies to cool completely, then frost and add sprinkles.
