Birthday Cake Ice Cream Recipe (No Churn!)
This birthday cake ice cream recipe takes 15 minutes and a few ingredients. Making no churn ice cream (without an ice cream maker) couldn’t be easier!

Birthdays are that one day a year when it’s socially acceptable to eat cake for breakfast and blame your sugar rush on the Earth completing another lap around the sun.
But what if I told you that you could have your cake and eat it too, without even baking?
Enter the superhero of our story: birthday cake ice cream. And this isn’t any recipe, but a no-churn wonder that you can whip up at home faster than you can say “Where’s the party?”
With a few simple ingredients like sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, yellow cake mix, and rainbow sprinkles (because let’s face it, it’s not a party without sprinkles), you’re on your way to becoming a dessert wizard.
But ultimately, you can turn this recipe any color you want (just add food coloring) and you can also customize the mix ins. So you have a lot of options, which is what we all really want. Besides lots of birthday presents!
Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, half-birthday, un-birthday, or you’re just in the mood to treat yourself (because you deserve it), this recipe is here to turn your kitchen into the happiest place on Earth.
Trust me, your taste buds (and your party goers) will thank you. Ready to become the legend of the next birthday party in your home? Let the fun begin!
No churn means that you’re not going to use an ice cream maker. An ice cream maker keeps the ingredients turning over so that while your dessert is chilling, no ice crystals form (and it remains soft).
With no churn you’ll still be stirring the ingredients with a mixer, but there is no churning process required. I love it because – easy.
*Make sure to use good quality ingredients this recipe. I recommend high quality, fresh dairy products and pure (not imitation) extracts for the best results.
Makes about 3 cups of ice cream, or 6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon butter extract
- 1 cup vanilla or yellow cake mix
- 1 cup rainbow sprinkles
Just keep in mind that this recipe is not as stable as traditional ice cream, so it melts quickly. You’ll want to get it back into the freezer as soon as possible . . . no need to leave it on the counter to soften.
If you plan to make a lot of ice cream, invest in some reusable containers. They make freezing easy.
