Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line your cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Cream together the butter and brown sugar.
Add 1/4th of the maple syrup, the egg, and the vanilla, and cream into the butter and sugar mixture until well mixed.
Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until it forms a dough, set aside for a moment.
Stir together the white sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Scoop out 2 tablespoons of the dough, roll into a ball and roll in the cinnamon and sugar mixture, then place on the cookie sheet. Continue doing this until you have 6 cookies on the tray.
Bake for about 12 minutes and then allow them to cool on a cooling rack. Continue scooping, rolling in sugar and cinnamon mixture, and baking for 12 minutes per batch until you run out of dough.
Make the maple icing by creaming together all icing ingredients, then ice the cookies before enjoying.
