Picture this: you just got home from work and/or picking up the kids. It’s October so by the time you get home, it’s dark. You’ve still got to make dinner for everyone and help with homework.

Then there’s the sitting on your buns to watch some Netflix part of the evening, which you’re really looking forward to.

But suddenly you remember/find out that either you – or one of your children – needs a treat for a Halloween function. And you need it for tomorrow.

Instead of freaking out, which would be natural and right to do. . . . I’ve got a solution for you.

The powdered sugar donut provides all the sweetness you need, while the chocolate chip eyes and mouth give each donut its ghostly personality.

Plus, you can make them ahead and store them in an airtight container, meaning less stress when the big night arrives. Who says ghosts have to be scary when they can be this delicious?

Ingredients

  • 1 10 oz. pkg powdered mini donuts
  • 1 12 oz. pkg semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
  • 1 12 oz. pkg regular chocolate morsels

In terms of storage, these donuts can last for 1-2 days at room temperature, 5-7 days in the refrigerator, and 2-3 months in the freezer. I’m just assuming you’ll eat them right away!
