Delicious Pumpkin Smoothie for Autumn
You’ll love the fall flavors of this pumpkin smoothie recipe. Creamy, nutritious, and easy to make. The perfect autumn sip in a glass!
I’ve always been a smoothie lover. Not only are they easy to make, but over the course of my life I have always found them to be a great meal replacement when the situation required it.
When I went back to school to get my MBA, I relied on smoothies a lot for dinner. I worked full time and went to school three nights a week for almost three years, and there was a lot of Smoothie King involved in getting my degree.
Fast forward to current day and I still love smoothies. I also still use them as meal replacements when I’m feeling lazy. The difference is that now, smoothie prices (and all prices!) have increased.
Doesn’t mean I never buy smoothies anymore, because I do – but I also have some smoothie recipes in my arsenal that I make regularly.
If you love pumpkin or pumpkin spice, you’re absolutely going to love this fall recipe! I’m excited because it’s not a pumpkin dessert (which I make a lot of). It’s a breakfast recipe.
A pumpkin smoothie recipe! It’s easy to make, and it’s super delicious.
Add this beverage to a menu with pumpkin muffins, bagels, pancakes . . . you’ll have a full continental breakfast devoted just to the world’s favorite orange gourd.
Making the perfect smoothie requires some practice as far as I’m concerned. Finding the consistency and mixture of ingredients that works for you takes time. This pumpkin smoothie will be perfect for practicing because it’s absolutely delicious!
Here’s what you’re going to need.
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/3 cup of pumpkin puree (If you want more additional pumpkin flavor, you can use 1/2 cup)
- 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 2 Tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup of ice or more to taste
The whipped cream and cinnamon on top are additional! So if you add any, don’t forget to recalculate the nutritional information.
I would consume this smoothie the same day you make it, unless you want to freeze it. Then I would freeze it for up to a month in an airtight storage container.
