Strawberry Cake Mix Brownies: A Fun Twist on a Classic Treat
These delicious strawberry cake mix brownies are so easy to make and perfect for holidays like Valentine’s Day. Add crushed Oreos and sprinkles on top to make them party ready.

We’re all over recipes that feature Oreo here on Out of This World Desserts, and the latest one is amazing: strawberry cake mix brownies. Because sometimes cake mix is such a nice shortcut. AND there are Oreos too. How can you resist?
These bars are easy to put together and they use heart sprinkles which makes them perfect for Valentine’s Day. If you have children, a great job for them is crushing up Oreos and sprinkling the edible hearts on top!
I absolutely love simple recipes that taste delicious, and this falls into that category. The combination of moist cake and Oreo dessert is right up my alley!

Ingredients
- 1 box, strawberry cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 stick butter (melted)
- 10 Chocolate Strawberry Oreos, crushed (or regular Oreos if you can’t find these)
- Edible Heart/Valentine Sprinkles (we used CK Products Edible Confetti Hearts)
There are some FUN sprinkles out there! I just love all the multi colored and shaped baking sprinkles that are available. Don’t be afraid to do a little searching and get lips, stars, unicorns or whatever else floats your boat.

Strawberry Cake Brownies

Ingredients
- 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix 1 box
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 stick butter melted
- 10 Oreos
- 1/3 cup heart sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line a square baking pan with aluminum foil. Spray with cooking spray and set aside.
- Add dry cake mix to a large bowl. Stir in the evaporated milk and melted butter until combined completely. The mixture will be somewhat crumbly.
- Press the brownie cake mix into prepared pan. You don't have to press down too hard; just make it even.
- Sprinkle crushed cookies and sprinkles on top of batter and press gently.
- Bake for 17-22 minutes or until set and cooked through. Cool completely before removing foil from pan and cutting into bars.
